What a beautiful day, despite the fact that there is fresh snow, and loads of it, outside. The newest issue of the Gatehouse Gazette was released today and it is once again a collection of excellent essays.
This issues topic is Victorientalism, which is a blend between Victorean (fo the age) and Orientalism. Yes, I am actually versed in English linguistics…
Anyway, as you may have guessed, the issue is all about the eastern World in Victorean Times and it covers all the space between and including the Ottoman Empire and Japan.
