Thoughts on the FIFA World Cup

Obviously, even Steampunks watch football. Especially a classic match like England vs. Germany. By now I guess you know how that one ended and this is also as far as this article goes concerning football and the FIFA World Cup. I want to keep this blog as far away from it as possible. Granted, this article is thus pretty self-defeating, but never mind.
So, let us continue with the usual Steampunk theme of it all. Via my friend Nick’s blog, I found this marvelous piece of art, depicting a homicidal housemaid-automaton. I would not be surprised to find a butchered family in the dark corridors of the mansion, now silent after the maid has done her work:

I am an anthropologist and in this capacity a minor scholar of the Cthulhu Mythos and H.P. Lovecraft. I am also quite obviously heavily into Steampunk and Dieselpunk and like travelling.
