Convention Logo – Work in Progress
Posted By Traveler on 5. November 2011
The European Steampunk Convention is getting an official logo soon, and a very official name. Both works are still in progress but we are getting there. The date is also more or less fixed, it will be in September and it will coincide with the the Steampunk gathering in Luxembourg. The same will also be one of the central events.
For now, this is the second draft of the logo, it is not official, yet:
Responsible for this excellent piece of work are the people of Steam-HeArt of Vienna, Austria, who are also very involved in the project.
As soon as the final version of the logo is finished, we can go and spread the word in a very visual way… Things are moving foreward!

Reminiscent of the Nazi Logo that comes surrounded by the Gear…
Come on! By that arguement every logo with a gear looks like the Nazi symbol you are refering to.
This is the logo you you have in mind, I presume? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Labour_Front
A bit of a stretch, really.
Incidentally, along your argument, check them out:

The design got wings like an eagle, and there is a skull in the center of the gear… Does that look like Waffen-SS to you? No? Amazingly, I don’t think so either. So just relax now!
