So here it is, the Steampunk album I have waited for ever since I read it was in the works. After listening to and liking Electric Rain, their previous album, I was very excited to get an early copy of Yesterday’s Tomorrow. The album contains both singles available previously, such as Steampunk Symphony and the [...]

In the picture below you see an unstoppable juggernaught, going strong after decades of service, long after others have broken down, and a Hetzer tank destroyer. Lemmy just became even more awesome (how does he do it?). For all those who do not know the guy in the picture is (and shame on you if [...]

The title of this post speaks for itself. Two Tesla coils playing the Doctor Who theme song at the Maker Faire 2011. Performance by ArcAttack Why did I not find this sooner, anyway?

Amanda Palmer, formerly of the Dresden Dolls and highly significant other of Neil Gaiman has become a member of the highly exalted circle of TED Talk speakers. It would be almost a sin, not to share this here:

The good Professor strikes again. This time he tells us about his latest adventure: He went to the deepest heart of some jungle well inside a white area on the map of the world to retrieve an ancient artifact. Please enjoy!

It may be hard to believe, but yesterday marked the first time I attended a proper pure-strain Steampunk concert. Until then I had to be content with listening to downloads and hear the tales others told me. Luckily, I was able to make up for the long wait by attending the best concert I have [...]

Victor Sierra, in my humble opinion continental Europe’s supreme Steampunk band is working on another album, and they need our help. After all, maintaining an airship like the Hydrogen Queen is expensive. In their own words: What We Need: We’re planning to release a new album in May 2013, but we need: Equipment… Cogs…Hydrogen…Steam…Fabric…Lead (to [...]

The creativity within the music section of our scene really has no bounds. The other day I opened my ætherbox to find yet another message directing me to an album of a band I had thus far not heard of before. The band is Terrible Spaceship and the album (their debut) is Invasion 1938. So, [...]

Truth be told, the aesthetics in this video are not Steampunk as far as I am concerned. I simply came across this little clip while browsing Youtube for stuff. The concept behind it is too sweet not to share. I mean, a band of orb weavers playing soda pop. It makes for a creepy-crawly Aaaaaawwwhhh!-moment.
